Festival & Dance Notes

WURST. BIER. MUSIK.

Sausage, beer, and music are the three key ingredients that have made Wurstfest in New Braunfels one of the premier festivals in the nation for more than 50 years. This year’s fest will run from Nov. 2-11, and will feature more than 40 local, national, and international performers. Whether you prefer to polka, waltz, or two-step, you’ll find the rhythm that’s right for you!

Along with festival faves such as Das Ist Lustig, Alex Meixner, Squeezebox, Jimmy Sturr, and Cloverleaf Orchestra, this year’s lineup also features acts from Germany. Münchholzhäuser Blaskapelle or MBK is a traditional brass band founded in 1964. Die Bayrischen Hiatamadln is an all-girl – plus Gunther the guitarist – show band from the Greater Munich area. Die Schlauberger has a German name and hails from New York. For over two decades, Die Schlauberger (Alpine Thunder) has proclaimed “expect the unexpected.”
