DJ Profile, Alex Fydryszewski

TPN: What is your favorite part about being a DJ?

AF: My favorite thing about being a polka DJ is knowing I am doing my part to keep my heritage and culture alive. Secondly, knowing that my programming brings joy to listener's day is priceless.

TPN: How did you get your start?

AF: I got my real start in broadcasting as a freshman at Moravian College. I interviewed the late Jolly Joe Timmer at his radio station for a class. I must have impressed Joe somehow because when we finished the interview he asked me if I'd like to work at WGPA. I started in sales, proved my worth to him and airshifts followed. The rest is history. I spent a wonderful 10 years around WGPA and learned from some of the most incredible people in the industry.
