20th German Heritage Festival

March 27-29, 2020 Old Town Tomball, Texas Historical Train Depot Plaza
20th German Heritage Festival

Tomball German Heritage Fest is celebrating 20 Jahre Jubiläum. Ja, for 20 years Tomball has been celebrating its German heritage with one of the best spring festivals in the country. This year’s event is set for March 27-29 and once again promises fun for the entire family! The Alex Meixner Band will headline all three days on the new Grady Und Sandra Platz stage, sponsored by polkabeat.com.

Beginning with one oom-pah band on a flatbed trailer 19 years ago, the festival has become an annual tradition in Tomball and one of the best music/street festivals in Texas. Every spring festivalgoers put on their lederhosen and dirndls to "Go German" for the area's largest festival celebrating the heritage of the original German families that settled this area beginning in about 1840. In other words in the case of German heritage there is much to celebrate in this part of Texas!

The German Heritage Festival takes place on the Old Downtown Streets of Tomball near 201 S. Elm Street, Main Street (FM 2920), and Market Street. The street festival offers four stages of live music entertainment featuring "happy music for happy people," ethnic and festival food, beer, wine, 200 street vendors, and all kinds of German souvenirs and clothing.

You'll also find arts & crafts, antiques, carnival, pony ride, petting zoo, strolling music makers, street performers, and much more. It’s Oktoberfest in springtime! You can also tour Tomball's restored Train Depot on the festival grounds.
