DJ Profile: Bob Nason

TPN: What is your favorite part about being a DJ?

BN: My favorite part is just knowing that I can brighten someone's afternoon, by being upbeat, playing good music, and enjoying myself at the same time. Take now for example, we were giving out restaurant info during “stay at home” as a public service. I had so many folks say, we are so grateful for what you are doing for these small businesses. I guess, in the long run, it's great to “matter.”

TPN: Any fond memories from your DJ days?

BN: The best one is from my other job as Sports Director here at KULP. I had the opportunity to travel to Detroit to broadast the El Campo Junior League Baseball All Stars in the World Series. I broadcast every game the El Campo boys played, and it was just such a fun time. When we got back, the kids were just treated like heroes. We had a great time.
