Bohemian Princess Diary
T’was another great year of dancing across Texas. Looking at past issues of TPN, here are my 2019 highlights.

• Louis Stewart Jr. and Elaine Rosquist won the King and Queen dance contest at the National Polka Festival in Ennis.
• Polka Lovers Klub of America Texas Chapter celebrated its 30th anniversary. TPN founder Julius Tupa was instrumental in launching the chapter.
• Swiss Alp Dance Club celebrated its 85th anniversary.
• The Moravians celebrated 10 years.
• Brave Combo celebrated 40 years.
• TPN celebrated its 5th year with Gary and I producing the paper.
• Alice Sefcik Sulak was presented with a plaque from the IPA honoring her more than 75 years as a musician and polka promoter.
• Texas Dance Hall Preservation honored Alice with a Lifetime Achievement Award on Nov. 17 (See more coverage on this in January).
• South Texas Polka Hall of Fame inducted Wence Shimek Orchestra, Fritz Hodde & Fab 6, and South Texas Polka Fest Founders Bobby Pavliska, Henry Pavliska, and Linda Pavliska.
