Wisconsin Road Trip! You Betcha!
Prepare now to attend a fun-filled weekend in Pulaski WI for the 40th annual Pulaski Polka Days July-22. This festival ranks as one of the largest festivals of polka music in the Midwest drawing thousands of polka lovers to the event each year. “This year is special as we are celebrating our 40th year as the Midwest’s largest outdoor polka festival,” said Harold Otto, one of the festival’s founders. “We will be recognizing ethnic versions of the polka at one consolidated location; the Pulaski Polka Days Festival Grounds located just off HWY 32 in Pulaski. Meaning, you will be able to dance the Polish/German/Slovenian/Bohemian style all at one location.”
And who’s playing all this music? Only 21 of the nations’ top polka bands. The out-of-state festival headliners include Polka Country Musicians and The Beat, Connecticut; The Boys, Maryland; Box On, Michigan; Stephanie-America’s Polka Sweetheart, Illinois; Polka Family, Pennsylvania; Dynabrass, Ohio; Doctor Kielbasa, Minnesota; and DynaVersaStixToneAires, with members from across the country.
Bands representing the Polka State of Wisconsin are Music Connection, Polish Connection, Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchmen and Jerry Voelker, Steve Meisner, and Carol and the Keynotes. Also featured are Pulaski’s very own Concertina Rich, The Maroszek Bros., The New Generation, Aaron Socha’s Live Wire, Chad Przybylski and his Polka Rhythms, The TNT Band, and the Polka Dynamics.
