RED NOVAK REMEMBERS SHOWBOATING ON THE DRUMS

As reported by Julius Tupa February 1988

George A. “Red” Novak remembers that dancing was the cheapest form of entertainment during the Great Depression years of his youth in Shiner. The town had three bands, but the community was so poor that the groups used the same musicians.
